The client presented us with the footprint of significant scale within a world class rural estate. The challenge was to design an intimate residence within the austerity of our monumental concrete structure. Axis site lines played heavily into our disciplined approach to the design. Carving out negative spaces from the significant envelope provided a more human dimension and experience. Intersecting planes, rhythms + grids of bronze, stone + leather dissect the glazed spaces with a diffusive ambience.
